Notice of free entrepreneurship workshop - Overview of the workshops -The Business of Creative Entrepreneurship

American Corner project, is an initiative of the American Consulate operating from Cape Town.

They intend hosting three Business of Creative Entrepreneurship (BCE) workshops this year and three Social Upstart workshops. The date for the first workshop BCE is set for 16 and 17 May 2019. The focus is not on youth, only, but on entrepreneurs with an existing product, NOT A PRODUCT IDEA. The training is free of charge and will be held at the George Museum.

The Business of Creative Entrepreneurship is a programme designed for Creative Entrepreneurs supported by the American Corner and The US Consulate of Cape Town in partnership with Tamburai Chirume, an IVLP Exchange Programme Alumni, Creative Strategist and Co-Founder of Luxury African brand ONEOFEACH, a company focusing on exporting luxury fashion accessories and apparel proudly designed and made in Cape Town for the world. The program will select entrepreneurs who have a unique, innovative tangible design or craft product.

The program content will cover the following topics :

* Compliance for Creative Businesses in South Africa
* Product Review and Costing
* Product Development and Quality Refinement 
* Brand Story 
* Selling your product 
* Digital Systems for Effective Business Practices 
* Introduction to Export
