GEORGE MUNICIPALITY ESSENTIAL SERVICES COVID-19 LEVEL 3 - ELECTRICITY

George Municipal Manager Trevor Botha hereby confirms essential services delivery implications for the George Municipal area during the Covid-19 lockdown period, as per new Level 3 regulations applicable from 1 June 2020.

 

ESSENTIAL SERVICE: ELECTRICITY

The Electro-technical offices remain closed to the public.

Please contact the Call Centre numbers below to make an appointment or obtain the email address of the relevant staff member you want to connect with.

 

Planned maintenance will resume and essential repairs for which planned outages are required, will be communicated.

Please report power outages, broken street lights and faulty traffic lights to:

Estimated response times from recorded time of complaint at above numbers:

Low voltage electricity - within 24 hours

High voltage electricity faults - can be longer 24 hours depending on type of fault

Street lights - three to four weeks
