SPCA wins with Mayor’s Winter Campaign

The Executive Mayor of George, Aldm Charles Standers, last week handed over the first donation to the SPCA following the launch of the “Warm Hearts” Mayoral Winter Campaign in early May.

Donation crates are available at the Garden Route Mall, Eden Meander Lifestyle Centre, Mini Pick ‘n Pay (Courtenay Street),  and George Municipality until 18 July 2016 and the public is encouraged to donate new or unused items of clothing, shoes or even bedding, food items, dog or cat food. The SPCA is in specific need of blankets, towels, and food.

George Municipality would like to thank our Partners in this initiative: George Business Chamber, Garden Route Mall , Eden Meander Lifestyle Centre, Mini Pick ‘n Pay (Courtenay Street), Garden Route SPCA and our Media Partners: George Herald and Eden FM. Houttek Iuventes, (donation of crates) and Intembeko Group (installation of crates).

We call on all our citizens in George as well as our visitors to support this worthy initiative to ensure that we are making a difference in the lives of those persons in our City that need it the most.
