Update - 5 May Caledon Street:  Repairs on the section of the road

Caledon Street Update

Issued Sunday 5th May 2019

Dear Resident and Business Owner,

Caledon Street:  Repairs on the section of the road that failed due to the pumping in the lower layers will continue next week.  It is anticipated that there will be traffic stop and go in place as well as heavy vehicles so please drive with care until the work is completed.

Sidewalks:  Will continue with the tie in at the road intersections.  A further test section is planned to be asphalted.

Please note:

  • Caledon Street is still a construction site and as such, the road, manholes and kerb levels will still be different.  Please exercise care and caution during this time.
  • Please respect the road signs that are put in place for the safety of all road users.
  • The contractor has experienced vandalism of his signage in the past.  Should you witness vandalism of any kind, please contact us so that we can take the necessary action.
  • We urge residents and business owners to please proceed with caution during the roadworks.

Your continued support and patience is appreciated during this time.
