Urgent Public Notice: Planned Power Outage Postponed

George Municipality advises residents that the planned power outage scheduled for Sunday, 27 September 2026, has been postponed until further notice due to the forecast weather conditions.

The areas that were scheduled to be affected by the planned outage are:

PORTION OF GEORGE
Victoria Bay, Victoria Heights, Carmel, Welgelegen, Garden Route Mall, Groenkloof, Kraaibosch, Glen Village, Glenridge, Glenwood AH, Loerie Park, Eden, Twee Rivieren, portion of Bergsig, portion of Denneoord, George Central, George South, Lavallia, Rosemoor, Protea Park, Conville, Borcherds, Lawaaikamp, Ballotsview, Parkdene, Maraiskamp and George Industrial.

PORTION OF THEMBALETHU
Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3, Zone 4, Zone 5, Zone 6, Zone 7, Zone 8 and Ballots Bay.

A new date for the planned outage will be communicated once it has been confirmed.
