An accident involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle that occurred earlier today on Knysna Road resulted in the temporary closure of a single lane in each direction of the Road. Both lanes toward York Street have been opened, while only one lane remains open in the opposite direction (towards the Garden Route Mall). Traffic officers are regulating the traffic flow at the scene of the accident.

Motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle in Knysna Road in front of the Nando’s. All services on scene.

A single lane in each direction was opened for traffic. Please follow traffic officers’ instructions.

The George Municipality are aware of the low water pressure experienced in the Bergsig area.

This is due to low reservoir levels on 2 x 8 ML reservoirs due to maintenance executed during Thursday and Friday. Pressures to restore in Bergsig areas experiencing low pressures as resrvoirs recover/fill.

No pipe breakages detected in network. We apologies for the inconvenience.

The following streets in Blanco are currently experiencing water supply interruption due to a pipe replacement in Pieter Theron Street in Blanco.

• Voortrekker Street, Fancourt Gardens and neighbouring streets might also experience pressure problems or water interruptions as they are close to Theron Street in Blanco.

Water supply will be restored at 14:00 to the affected streets. We sincerely apologise for the short notice.

NOTICE is hereby given that the electricity supply will be interrupted on SATURDAY 01 OCTOBER 2022 FROM 09H00 TO 17H00 for the purpose of doing alterations to the electrical mains. Consumers are warned to treat the installation as being live for the full duration as the supply may be resumed at any time within the notified period.

Should circumstances prevent the work being carried out during the abovementioned period; the work will be done on SUNDAY 02 OCTOBER 2022 FROM 09H00 TO 17H00.
