The Vehicle Testing Station, located corner of Hibernia Street is unable to operate due to the current heavy rainfall which has caused some flooding. The VTS will remain closed until further notice. George Municipality apologizes for any inconvenience.

The partial outage is due to the ESKOM Transformer SS Wilderness which tripped earlier this morning.

The estimated 5-hour repair time for the pipe burst on Witfontein Road, initially scheduled to be completed by 15:00, has been extended by an hour.
In the interim, a water truck has been dispatched to Witfontein Road and will be moved to the parking area at Heather Park Spar. A second truck is stationed at Candlewood Street in front of the Church.
The pipe burst occurred early this morning, impacting the Heather Park area. The water team is working hard to repair the pipe and restore the water supply as soon as possible.
