Our team encountered a complication on Seesig Street following the reopening of the water line, which has caused a delay in restoring the water supply to Hoekwil.

Both the contractor and the municipality are actively working to resolve the issue and restore water as quickly as possible.

The following streets are affected:

Seesig Street
Church Street
Kammasie Street
Platrug
Olifantshoek

The Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) is 5 hours.

A water truck will be deployed to the affected areas to assist with water supply.

Please be advised that all telephone and internet lines at George Library are currently down. This includes the system that process book fines.

Die besinktenke en reservoirs op die aanleg is besig om gevul te word. Dit neem egter langer as wat verwag is en behoort nog sowat 6 ure te neem.

Dit het tot gevolg dat die reservoirs in die dorp se vlakke besig is om krities laag te daal. Sommige areas mag lae druk ondervind of selfs geen water nie. ‘n Watertrok sal in die area rondbeweeg.

Die publiek word versoek om steeds water spaarsamig te gebruik.

Water Supply Update – Uniondale Waterworks

The maintenance work for the day at the Uniondale Waterworks was completed this morning. The settling tanks and reservoirs at the facility are in the process of being filled. However, this is taking longer than expected and is estimated to take another 6 hours.

As a result, the water levels in the town’s reservoirs are critically low. Some areas may experience low pressure or even no water supply.

A water truck will be circulating in the area.

The public is kindly requested to continue using water sparingly during this time.
