The scope of work consists of the construction of approximately 1400 metres of bulk gravity sewer pipeline, including manholes. The section of pipeline starts at 8th Avenue in Wilderness East, runs in an easterly direction, and traverses Protea Avenue, and continues to an existing pump station.
CONSTRUCTION PERIOD:
August 2023 to May 2024
SERVICE DISRUPTION:
No Municipal services will be affected.
WORKING HOURS:
Working hours will be from 07h00 to 18h00 Mondays to Fridays.
IMPACT:
The construction area will be fully closed to the public.
No pedestrians, runners and cyclists may access the area throughout the duration of the construction period. Cyclists and pedestrians are to take extreme caution when making use of the walkway adjacent to the site. Flag persons and temporary road signage must be adhered to at all times, particularly for the construction of the pipeline traversing through Protea Avenue.
