INDIGENT REGISTRATION DRIVE TO VISIT RURAL AREAS AND FARMS
George Municipality’s Credit Control Section will conduct an Indigent Registration Drive in rural areas and farming communities across the George municipal area from 22 July to 7 August 2026.
The purpose of the drive is to inform residents about the Municipality’s approved Indigent Policy and Credit Control Policy, explain the qualifying criteria and registration requirements for indigent support, and assist eligible households with indigent applications and related enquiries.
Residents living in the identified rural areas and farming communities are encouraged to engage with municipal officials when the team visits their area.
The following programme indicates the dates on which municipal officials will visit the various rural areas and farms:
Residents who believe they may qualify for indigent support are encouraged to make use of this opportunity to obtain information, receive assistance with applications, and ensure they are registered for the benefits available to qualifying households.

DEERNISREGISTRASIEVELDTOG BESOEK LANDELIKE GEBIEDE EN PLASE
George Munisipaliteit se Kredietbeheerafdeling sal vanaf 22 Julie tot 7 Augustus 2026 ‘n Deernisregistrasieveldtog in landelike gebiede en plaasgemeenskappe regoor die George munisipale gebied aanbied.
Die doel van die veldtog is om inwoners in te lig oor die Munisipaliteit se goedgekeurde Deernisbeleid en Kredietbeheerbeleid, die kwalifiseringsvereistes en registrasieproses vir deernisondersteuning te verduidelik, en kwalifiserende huishoudings by te staan met deernisaansoeke en verwante navrae.
Inwoners van die geïdentifiseerde landelike gebiede en plaasgemeenskappe word aangemoedig om met munisipale amptenare in gesprek te tree wanneer die span hul gebied besoek.
Die volgende program dui die datums aan waarop munisipale amptenare die onderskeie landelike gebiede en plase sal besoek:
Inwoners wat meen dat hulle vir deernisondersteuning kwalifiseer, word aangemoedig om van hierdie geleentheid gebruik te maak om inligting te bekom, hulp met hul aansoeke te ontvang en te verseker dat hulle vir die beskikbare voordele vir kwalifiserende huishoudings geregistreer is.
