Daar het ‘n pypbars in Langstraat, Uniondale, plaasgevind. ‘n Groot deel van Lyonville sal deur die onderbreking geaffekteer word.

Die herstelwerk sal ongeveer 3 tot 4 uur neem. ‘n Watertrok sal drinkwater aan die geaffekteerde area voorsien.

Public Notice: Pipe Burst in Uniondale

A pipe burst has occurred in Lang Street, Uniondale. A large portion of Lyonville will be affected.

Repairs are expected to take approximately 3 to 4 hours. A water truck will be providing drinking water to the affected area.

Unplanned Water Interruption in Parkdene 21 January @ 20:02

Please take note that the opening of valves commenced at 18:40 today.

The affected area is refilling gradually following yesterday’s failure, and no leaks have been detected thus far.

Please note that the Makriel Street valves remain closed at this time.

Our municipal team is currently on-site and actively managing the valve opening process.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time.

Unplanned Water Interruption in Parkdene

Please note that during the shut down process, a water cable was damaged, causing a further delay to the repairs.

No ETR is available as yet.

In the meantime, a water truck will continue to roam the area to assist affected residents with water supply.

We once again apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience.

Refuse Collection in Wilderness East Area

George Municipality would like to inform the public that refuse collection in the Wilderness East Area began after 15:00 this afternoon due to the breakdown of 7 compactor trucks.

Internal operations were conducted, and we had to wait for the first truck to finish before sending it to the Wilderness East area.

Please be assured, all refuse will be collected.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

WATER INTERRUPTION IN UNIONDALE DUE TO WATER NETWORK MAINTENANCE

The Municipal Civils Team is currently flushing the Uniondale water network to clean the pipelines.

Certain areas of the town center will have brown water while we continue working on the issue.

We thank the public for their patience and apologise for any inconvenience.

Unplanned Water Interruption in Parkdene, 21 January 2025, 04:42

A contractor has damaged a water pipeline near Saturnus Street in Parkdene. Repair work continued late into the night on Monday, 20 January 2025.

Unfortunately, after opening the network, a major leak was detected at one of the fittings. This has resulted in a large area still being without water, as repairs are planned to continue this morning.

The estimated time for restoration is 4 hours.

Three (3) water trucks will be roaming the affected area from 05:00 onwards to supply residents with water.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank the residents for their patience.

PUBLIC NOTICE UPDATE: WATER INTERRUPTION IN UNIONDALE DUE TO WATER NETWORK MAINTENANCE

We are in the process of opening the networks, and it will take approximately 1-2 hours for full stabilization. During this time, three trucks will be roaming the area to assist with the process.
