Delayed refuse removal due to vehicle breakdowns

Please note that refuse collection services are currently running behind schedule due to unexpected vehicle breakdowns.
Collections will still be completed later today, although delays are expected.
Green bag collection in George South and Pacaltsdorp will be carried out tomorrow, 16 May 2025.

Urgent Public Notice; Upgrading of Eden Sewage Pump Station – Weekend Work/Public Holidays
A planned construction activity of the UPGRADING OF EDEN SEWAGE PUMP STATION, initially scheduled to take place on weekdays, will also include Saturday 17th May and Saturday 24th May 2025 from 07h00 to 13h00.
The construction activities extend from the Eden Sewage Pump station to Dikkop Str and Pikkewyn Str.
SERVICE DISRUPTION:
Minor operational interruptions can be expected during the construction works. Advance notifications of planned temporary disruptions and the effects thereof will be issued via social media.
TRAFFIC IMPACT:
Residents, road users, and pedestrians are advised to exercise caution during the construction period. Please adhere to flag persons, temporary construction works and road signage.
ACCESS TO SITE:
Access to the construction site will be strictly controlled. In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, no members of the public will be allowed in the construction area.
