SERVICE DISRUPTION:
Minor operational interruptions can be expected during the construction works. Advance notification of planned temporary disruptions and the effects thereof will be issued via social media.
TRAFFIC IMPACT:
Residents, road users and pedestrians need to exercise caution throughout the construction period. Please adhere to flag persons, temporary construction works and road signage.
ACCESS TO SITE:
Access to the site will be strictly controlled. No member of the public will be allowed access to the construction area, in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

🚱 PUBLIC NOTICE: Water Quality Concerns in Haarlem and Proteaville

The Municipality is aware of the following water-related concerns:
🔹 Odour issues in the water supply in Haarlem
🔹 Brown discoloration in the water in the Proteaville area
💧 These issues are due to recent rainfall, which has altered the conditions in the Haarlem Dam, affecting the quality of the raw water. This has resulted in unusual odours in the supply.
🧪 Action Being Taken:
The Municipality is currently making chemical adjustments at the treatment plant to address the issue.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE TO RESIDENTS:
Please boil all tap water before drinking as a precautionary measure until further notice.

🔹 Bruin verkleuring van die water in die Proteaville-gebied
💧 Hierdie probleme is weens onlangse reënval, wat die toestande in die Haarlemdam verander het en die gehalte van die rou water beïnvloed het. Dit het gelei tot ongewone reuke in die toevoer.

Die Munisipaliteit maak tans chemiese aanpassings by die behandelingsaanleg om die probleem op te los.
