The George Municipality continues addressing various power outages and the cleanup of fallen trees. Currently, no roads are closed.

POWER OUTAGES

Parts of George are experiencing power outages due to bad weather. Electrical teams are dispatched to various areas:
• Berg Street Line – Team dispatched
• De Waal Drive – Team dispatched
• Portion of Zone 4 and Zone 5 in Thembalethu – Electricians dispatched
• Ebb & Flow Line – Contractor dispatched for removal of trees
• Fairy Knowe Power Line from Ebb and Flow – Off; repairs to continue this morning
• Portion of Denneoord (St. Pauls, Wellington, 9th Avenue, 10th Avenue) – Repairs to continue this morning
• George Street, Blanco – Repairs ongoing
• Boekenhout Street, Hoekwil – Repairs ongoing
• Saasveld – Team on site; biggest portion restored, Nelson Mandela University still down
• Wilderness and Kleinkrantz – Eskom trip, four lines fallen; all lines need replacement, repair work to continue this morning

PLANNED POWER OUTAGES

All planned power outages in the following areas have been canceled. Any current power outages are due to bad weather and infrastructure damage:
