Drone Survey Activities – Wilderness Beach.

George Municipality hereby informs members of the public that a drone survey will be undertaken at Wilderness Beach as part of a baseline assessment that will inform the development of a coastal dune rehabilitation and maintenance management plan for a section of Wilderness beach. Members of the public may observe drone activity in the area during the survey period.

The drone survey will be used to collect aerial information on:
• dune and beach topography;
• dune and beach vegetation; and
• other environmental features relevant to the maintenance and management of the coastal environment.

The drone survey is planned for 15 September 2026 (subject to suitable weather conditions)
Drone flights will be limited to the dune and beach areas within the approved survey site.
