GWAING LANDFILL SITE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The George Municipality advises the public that the Gwaing Landfill Site is closed until further notice. The current weather conditions has resulted in slippery and unsafe conditions, making the landfill inaccessible.

The Waste Transfer Station remains open and is available for the disposal of domestic waste only.

Residents are requested to make use of the Waste Transfer Station while the landfill site is closed. Further updates will be communicated as they become available.
