A pipe got damaged at 18:59 Zone 5 in Thembalethu, one street is affected. The estimated time of repair is 2 to 3 hours.

A pipe Burst occurred at 6 Stinkhout Street in Glen Barry. A standpipe is stationed at the corner of Waboom and Stinkhout Street. The estimated time of repair is 4 to 5 hours.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to restore the water supply as quickly as possible.

Please be advised that the NATIS System is currently down or very slow at the Pacaltsdorp Traffic Centre, Motor Vehicle Registration (next to the train station), Blanco MVR satellite office and the Vehicle Testing Station due to a national problem.

The situation affects transactions and services.

Technicians have been informed of the problem and the public is asked to be patient in this regard.

Consumers are warned to treat the installation as being live for the full duration as the supply may be resumed at any time within the notified period.

Power outages in portions of Thembalethu affecting Zone 5 (Mdongwe) and Zone 8 (Mandela Village).
Teams have been dispatched.

ETR will be provided once the illegal connections have been removed.

The power supply has been restored to Zones 7 and 8. “Gushindoda” will remain off until all illegal connections are removed.

An unplanned power outage has occurred in Zones 7 and 8 in Thembalethu due to illegal connections. Electricians have been dispatched and are currently repairing the damage. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue.

George Municipality’s water distribution maintenance team is attending to a damaged water pipe in Pikkewyn Crescent, Andersonville. The expected time of repairs is approximately 4 hours, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

URGENT NOTICE FOR PUBLIC: CONSTRUCTION WORK NOTICE: GARDEN ROUTE DAM SUCTION PIPE WORKS

A planned construction of the Garden Route Dam Suction pipe works, initially scheduled for weekdays, will also include the following Saturdays between 07:00 and 14:00.

• Saturday, 3 August 2024
• Saturday, 10 August 2024

SERVICE DISRUPTION:
Minor operational interruptions can be expected during the construction works. Advance notification of planned temporary disruptions and the effects thereof will be issued via social media.

TRAFFIC IMPACT:
No impact on traffic.

ACCESS TO SITE:
Access to the site will be strictly controlled. No member of the public will be allowed access to the construction area, in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
