ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Aslam Levy: e-Government Team Lead, Department of the Premier
Aslam Levy is a digital communications specialist with more than 20 years of experience spanning multimedia, websites and social media.
He began his career in digital learning, helping organisations use technology to improve training and communication.

He later co-founded a multimedia agency that developed e-learning solutions using simulation and 3D animation to significantly reduce training time.

In 2008, Aslam joined Cape Town Tourism, where he led the launch of the city’s official destination marketing website ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He also pioneered Cape Town’s early digital marketing initiatives by introducing its first tourism-focused YouTube, Twitter and Facebook platforms.

Today, he works in government digital communications, helping organisations use digital tools to connect more effectively with the public.
