George Municipality, through Ward 18’s allocation fund, recently donated 50 bags of 8 kg dog food to the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) in Conville, supporting the organisation’s efforts to care for vulnerable and injured animals.

Ward 18 Councillor, Donavon Gultig, and Ward Committee Member, Denise Human, recently visited the PDSA in Conville. The veterinary service focuses on the treatment of injured and sick animals, while also working to protect and care for animals within local communities. Donations such as these contribute towards the organisation’s ongoing efforts to care for and treat vulnerable animals.

“This donation, valued at R10 000, forms part of Ward 18’s allocation fund, which earmarked for animal welfare initiatives within the Conville community. Animals are at the heart of our communities, and organisations like the PDSA ensure they are treated with dignity, care and kindness. This initiative reflects our shared commitment to service, compassion, community upliftment and the wellbeing of vulnerable animals,” said Cllr Gultig.

Residents are encouraged to contact the PDSA in Conville directly to find out how they can support the organisation and assist in its efforts to care for vulnerable animals.
