Please note that Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) which is situated at Hibernia Street, MVR in Blanco, Driving Licence Testing Centre (DLTC) in Pacaltsdorp and Vehicle Testing Station (VTS) will be closing at 14:00 on Wednesday, 12 February 2025 for compulsory monthly meetings.

Services at all the above traffic service centres will resume on Thursday, 13 February 2025.

George Municipality’s Tourism Department will once again host its annual events compliance and support workshop for event organisers on
21 February 2025 in the Conference Centre at the Civic Centre, 71 York Street, George.  The event will take place from 08:00 – 13:00.

In support of its ongoing commitment to facilitate and assist local event organisers, the George Municipality’s Tourism Section is pleased to announce the
Annual Events Compliance & Support Workshop. This annual workshop will equip event organisers with valuable insights into event permitting, regulations, municipal services,
and the event support application process. Attendees will gain the knowledge and tools necessary to ensure that their events are successful, compliant, and well-supported by the municipality.

This workshop is open to all event organisers, whether you are planning a small community gathering or a large-scale public event.
