NOTIFICATION OF THE INTERRUPTION OF THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.

THE FOLLOWING AREAS WILL BE AFFECTED:

 

GWAING PUMPSTATION,  DE SWART LINE GWAING ROAD R102

NOTICE is hereby given that the electricity supply will be interrupted on WEDNESDAY 17 JANUARY  2024  FROM  09H00 TO 17H00 for the purpose of doing alterations to the electrical mains.  Consumers are warned to treat the installation as being live for the full duration as the supply may be resumed at any time within the notified period.

Should circumstances prevent the work being carried out during the abovementioned period; the work will be done on THURSDAY18 JANUARY 2024 FROM  09H00 TO 17H00.

KENNISGEWING geskied hiermee dat die elektriese toevoer onderbreek sal word op WOENSDAG 17 JANUARIE 2024 VANAF  09H00 TOT 17H00 met  die doel om veranderings aan elektriese hoofleidings te maak.  Klante word gewaarsku om die installasie as lewendig te beskou vir die volle periode aangesien die toevoer enige tyd gedurende die periode aangeskakel mag word.

Sou omstandighede verhoed dat die werk gedoen kan word gedurende bogenoemde periode, sal die werk gedoen word op  DONDERDAG  18 JANUARIE  2024 VANAF 09H00 TOT 17h00.

Latest Update: Water restored to Blanco area

Water is restored to the area surrounding Witfontein and Airway Roads after a burst pipe.
George municipality is busy completing interim repairs to make the road safe for use. A complete repair will follow.
Airway road is closed at Witfontein Road and there is no access from Witfontein Road to Airway Road. It will remain closed until repairs are finalised.

Further update: Burst pipe in Blanco area – Airway Road closed

Please note Airway Road is closed at Witfontein Road and there is no access from Witfontein to Airway Road. Further updates on the road and traffic will be provided in due course.

Teams are working to repair a burst pipe on the corner of Witfontein and George Roads, leading to Blanco.

Repairs are underway and adjacent areas may experience low pressure and no water. Traffic control and signage are in place. Motorists are requested to be cautious and patient.

Expected repair time is 5 – 6 hours.

Update on unplanned water outage: Teams are working to repair a burst pipe on the corner of Witfontein and George Roads, leading to Blanco.

Unplanned water outage: George municipality is aware of a burst pipe on the corner of Witfontein Road and George Road, leading to Blanco.

Teams are on site and traffic will be affected. Traffic control and signage are in place. Motorists are requested to be cautious and patient. Expected repair time is 4 – 6 hours.

Unplanned power outage: Zone 6 experienced a power outage

Some parts were re-energised but other parts could not be switched on due to illegal connections.
Teams are working on the removal of the illegal connections and the time of repair will depend on how long it takes to remove the illegal connections.

We ask the public to be patient.

Eskom Load shedding update: Tuesday, 09 January 2024

Eskom Load shedding update: Tuesday, 09 January 2024 – The setback experienced in returning two generating units to service as well as the loss of three generating units necessitated the implementation of Stage 2 load shedding from 16:00 today. Thereafter, Stage 1 load shedding will be implemented from 05:00 until 16:00 on Wednesday. This pattern of Stage 1 loadshedding from 05:00 to 16:00 and Stage 2 loadshedding from 16:00 to 05:00 will continue until further notice.
