George Municipality Emergency Services Management team has closed Wilderness Main Beach due to dangerous swimming conditions.
According to Santa Sternsdorf from the Emergency Services Management team, the beach will remain closed and monitored. As soon as conditions improve and it is safe to swim, the beach will be opened.
Sternsdorf asked the public to remain vigilant today at all beaches in our area as rough sea conditions are making swimming dangerous. The public can expect periodic closures of beaches when sea conditions are not conducive for safe swimming.
