STAGE 4 until 5am Monday 12 September.

Loadshedding will then be reduced to Stage 3 from 05:00 on Monday, and reduce to Stage 2 at 05:00 on Tuesday, where it will remain until Friday

GEORGE THUSONG ANNUAL WEEK 2022

Aligned to Public Service Month, this year’s Annual Week is scheduled to take place from 19 to 23 September 2022. Under the theme: ‘’BATHO PELE REVITALISATION – WALKING THE TALK’’.

Most of the activities of the Annual Week will seek to address socio-economic challenges and unemployment through government initiatives and programmes to expose opportunities provided to young people and people living with disabilities, as well as the communities at large.

Public Notice: ESKOM Maintenance – Wilderness – 20 September
Issued George Municipality 6 September 2022 for immediate release

Please take note ESKOM will do maintenance on their supply network on Tuesday, 20 September 2022.

The timeframe is from 08h00 to 16h00. On the day George Municipality will supply Wilderness town and surrounding areas with power from their emergency supply line. However, the public may experience lower than normal voltages and we request that the public use as little power as possible throughout the day to avoid overload and tripping. There is a risk of trips as this alternative supply is not as stable as the normal Eskom supply.
