Please be advised that the NATIS System is currently down at the Motor Vehicle Registration (next to the train station)in Hibernia Street and is very slow at the Blanco satellite office. No transactions can be done at MVR in Hibernia Street office currently.
The system is fully operational at the Traffic Services Department (DLTC) in Pacaltsdorp. The machines are operational but the situation affects transactions and services at the DLTC.
Technicians have been informed of the problem and the public is asked to be patient.

Consumers are warned to treat the installation as being live for the full duration as the supply may be resumed at any time within the notified period.
Should circumstances prevent the work being carried out during the abovementioned period; the work will be done on TUESDAY 16 JULY 2024 FROM 09H00 TO 16H00.

Permanent Closure of Victoria Street Entry Gate to George Municipality Main Building
The public is hereby informed that, following continued concerns regarding reckless driving by motorists accessing the Municipal Gate at the Victoria Street entrance and to ensure the safety of pedestrians and employees, a decision has been made to permanently close the Victoria Street entrance to the George Municipality Main Building.
The Victoria Street entry gate to the George Municipality Main Building will be permanently closed, effective 1 August 2024
This action has been taken to address the issue of reckless driving in the parking area.
